2011! Time to try again, maybe. I just remembered it today when I posted in my regular blog. (inthetopofthemountains.blogspot.com)

So. I just thought I should say that I love the sun. I love that it rises and sets every day regardless of what we do. I love that it's warm and happy and bright and beautiful. I especially love the sun on cold winter days where the ski is a perfect cloudless crisp blue and the powder is fresh and sparkling and the sun warms my face on the lift rides.... mmmm. Heaven. I love that even when my day is stinky, if the sun is out, it's a better day.

Life is Beautiful.

Friday - July 2

Okay, okay, I know. I am truly a terrible person. But with the year being more than halfway over now I am revisiting my New Year's Resolutions. And making some Mid-Year's Resolutions. Number 1 being that I will do well in school. That is basically the most important one.

On a great note though, my job is amazing. The people are amazing. The place is amazing. I love it so much. Everything in my life is great. Isn't it beautiful when that happens?

Wednesday, March 17

First off, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I am pleased to report that I managed to dredge enough green out of my closet (thank you, dear brother of mine, for attending law school at a university whose colors are yellow and green - Tribe hat FOR THE WIN) to avoid getting pinched. I'm not sure people would've anyway, but still... It eases my conscience to think such.
Today was probably in the high 50's-low 60's in the sun. I've been kind of half-mocking all of the people lying around on the quad, simply because it looks slightly ridiculous to have so many people on the grass, where on earth did they all come from? But today I decided to join their ranks and spread a blanket outside my dorm, and boy, did it feel lovely. St. Patrick's Day seems way too early to my biological clock to be spring (then again, it is Provo) but I'm not going to complain overly much. This winter seemed really short. But I'm happy to break out the shorts again. Life is beautiful.

Monday, March 8

So basically life has its ups and downs, but things are looking up!
This will seem random, but I'm so grateful to be at BYU. I love it. Life is beautiful.

Wow, what an epic failure!
I deeply apologize. I guess I just haven't been grateful for anything lately.
So I guess that means I have a month and a half to pull from. ;)
The other day, I was feeling down on myself, and my friend popped up on Facebook chat. At first I was kind of annoyed, because I didn't particularly want to talk to anybody. But he kept talking to me and eventually he got out of me why I was feeling low. And he built me up like a pro! Even though we're not super close friends, he is a great guy and now we talk on a regular basis, and I have definitely been feeling better about life (especially my photography). Thanks Nate, Life is Beautiful.

Sundance got 8 inches of fresh powder this week, and I finally got to set skis on it. And wow. It was delicious. It took me the better part of a run to get my 'powder legs' back ;), but it was still a blast. I can already tell I'm getting to be a better skier just in this year. I'm not even close to where I would be if I'd stuck with it since I started, but oh well, that's just life.

Today my mom posted a JibJab on my wall. It is hilarious. I laughed harder than I have in a long time! Ah, simple pleasures. Life is beautiful.

If you want to watch the JibJab, it's http://sendables.jibjab.com/view/WMl1Y1NCs6ggGavj. But I warn you, it's rather ridiculous.
